Right before Milonga 50 50 – Tango Melbourne is excited to announce a once only workshop by two of Australia’s most sought‑after tango leaders Jake & Doni— for an extraordinary deep‑dive into the heart of Tango connection.
A message from Jake & Doni
Best friends since 10 years old its suprising that it’s the first time ever we’re teaching together — revealing the 3 Core Principles we look for in followers and rely on as leaders to make our dances magnetic, adaptive, and deeply connected — no matter who’s in our embrace.
Those that know us see the 1000’s of hours we’ve spent building a deep understanding of the dance and the body. We answer the questions; what we look for in a follower to feel freedom in the dance? What we do as leaders to produce freedom in the dance?
The workshop will focus on our foundational ideas that will change your dance at a fundamental level. We’ll give you the tools to jump the que and become one of the most desired leaders or followers in any room.

Celebrate the inaugural Move in Pride! Festival with a special 3-week Tango Pride Course!
Tango is more than just fun—it can be a deep and meaningful experience.
At Tango Melbourne, we help everyone, no matter their background or skill, discover the true feeling of tango. We teach in a natural, easy way, so you don’t have to worry about memorising steps. Instead, you will learn how to move and connect with others in a relaxed and friendly space.
Over three weeks, our teachers will show you how to feel the music and connect with your partner, making each dance special.
Our course finishes with a big Pride Milonga—a social dance party where everyone is welcome.
You do not need a dance partner or any dance experience to join us. Just bring yourself, a smile, and maybe a bit of curiosity!
Dress up with pride and come discover how tango can bring real connection and joy.
